With the potential to go as high as she likes, Fiona Ferro is one of the rising stars of the French tennis game. The Belgian-born starlet has blown onto the scene in recent years, reaching as high as 106th in the WTA Rankings in October 2018. At just 21, she has a huge career ahead of herself, with various impressive performances already arriving. 2018 has been a major breakthrough year for her: Ferro reached the Second Round of the French Open, and also got to the Second Qualifying Round at the 2018 US Open.
She has so far lifted 4 ITF Women’s Circuit trophies, with some impressive wins over players such as Karolna Muchova, Catalina Pella and Eleonora Molinaro. Molinaro was actually the first person she defeated in a Final, with her first four finals from 2014-2017 ending in losses in Germany, France and Tunisia.
Always improving with each year, though, her return to form has been easy to see coming. No longer held back by youthful inconsistency to the same standard, she has won three finals in a row – from June to July 2018 – and looks set to make good on her vast potential.
